The Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions invites you to join us in our celebration of 40 years of service to the Houston community. The High School for Health Professions began as a Houston ISD magnet school created in 1972 in partnership with Baylor College of Medicine in order to diversify the ranks of the medical profession. For 2012, the DeBakey HSHP has once again been chosen as the number one public high school and the number one public high school for science and math in the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area.
The two days of festivities will include an open house for alumni and the community Friday, October 26. The celebration continues Saturday morning with a festival and fun run for alumni and the community. A gala will be held Saturday evening at the John P. McGovern Museum of Health & Medical Science.
Your tax-deductible contribution will help us to celebrate a tradition that began 40 years ago and has been fostered by the dedication of the administration, faculty, students and staff of DeBakey HSHP that continues today. With your help, we will honor the past and recommit ourselves to continue our tradition of excellence in public education.
All supporters of the High School for Health Professions 40th Anniversary Celebration will be prominently displayed in the commemorative brochure especially created for the occasion.
If you would like to participate, please fill out the attached form and return it to us.
Thank you for your consideration.
